This very charming image is by the well-known American artist Winslow Homer (1836-1910), whose paintings I've shown on here before. I don't know what it's called but maybe someone will tell me. I'm assuming the girl is reading, though there's no book visible, but she could be just day-dreaming, I suppose. The landscape looks very English to me, and Wikipedia tells me Homer did spend two years in England, so I suppose it could be.
