colour coding the books

Alerted over the weekend by Ruth of Crafty People to an attractive picture of some colour-coded books, I decided to do mine. Here is the result -- of the first stage, anyway -- there are lots that have not been done yet. Not you may say quite as stylish as the original picture but I love it. I've never had any organising principle in my bookshelves though I'm sure many people do -- alphabetical perhaps. They have always been stuffed in higgledy piggledy, necessitating frequent searches. Strangely enough, I have already found this to be a helpful method -- had to look for a book yesterday evening and knew it must be on the blue shelf. And I really do think it looks gorgeous and adds something to the look of the room -- books do furnish a room indeed!
