This is Girl Reading in an Interior by the Spanish artist Francesc Serra Castellet (1912-1976). His Wikipedia page is in German but I persuaded Google to translate it for me. He admired Degas, painted mainly female figures, and was fairly celebrated in Spain. I like this one, and enjoy the fact that she's reading rather than tidying up her room.
